General Giving FAQ
Q: How will my donation be used?
A: When you give to CEF Hawkeye Chapter, we use the majority of our funds to train and equip volunteers, buy resources for clubs and classes, financially support our staff, and put on events that reach out to the community and/or help raise awareness for CEF. We also have expenses like every other ministry that keep everything in working order. Your donation will help CEF Hawkeye Chapter reach more children in the name of Jesus!​

Q: Will my donation be tax deductible, and will I receive a giving statement for my taxes?
A: Yes, your donation is tax deductible. CEF Hawkeye Chapter is a 501(c)(3) charitable organization as defined by the IRS. If you give directly through us (via our online giving, text giving, checks or cash) you will receive an end of year giving statement. If you have any questions, feel free to reach out!​

Q: What is a Breeze account?
A: Breeze is our online giving portal. Through this account you can set up recurring donations, one-time donations, and view all your giving records.
Text Giving FAQ
The following is a list of example commands that the text giving system accepts:

Explanation
$50
​Donates $50 to CEF Hawkeye Chapter. You can type any amount; the dollar sign is optional (e.g. $50 and 50 both work).
give $50
Same as above.
give
CEF Hawkeye Chapter's text giving number will respond asking "how much you'd like to give". Texting 'give' to CEF Hawkeye Chapter's number can be a more succinct way to communicate text giving.
$50 weekly
​Sets up a recurring gift of $50 each week. Frequency options are 'weekly', 'biweekly', 'monthly', and 'yearly'.
refund
Refunds the previously given contribution. You can only refund your own gift with this command within 24 hours of giving the gift. If the gift started a recurring gift, the recurrence will also be canceled.
update
Allows you to update ypur payment method or recurring gift. CEF Hawkeye Chapter's text giving number will respond with a link where you can make these changes.  This also works if you need to update the name associated with the payment method (which will be associated with your Contribution receipts).  Be sure to enter the correct name with the payment method update.
unlink
Unlinks your phone from the text-to-give system. If you desire to set-up two recurring gifts from two different payment methods, using "unlink" will allow you to set-up a secondary recurring gift from an additional method. If you set up a second (or subsequent) recurring gift from a different method, the only way to modify any previous recurring gifts would be through the web portal (Give Now).
