The reason is in the name of the ministry, Child Evangelism Fellowship. Here in the Hawkeye Chapter we want to share God's love with children, teaching them about Jesus and helping them to learn more about the Bible, from Genesis to Revelations. When you volunteer with CEF you join in this vision. Showing children the truth of the Gospel.
How do I start volunteering?
The first step is to fill out the Volunteer Paperwork below. This includes a background check and worker's compliance (showing that you agree to the faith statement of CEF and will abide to teaching within their faith statement). Then once we have reviewed your paperwork we will reach out to you.
Where do I volunteer?
Good News Club:volunteer at a club as a teacher, table leader, coordinator, or snack provider. 5-Day Clubs: host a club in your home or your church and invite kids!
Do I need training?
Yes, but don't worry, this training is for you as you volunteer where you are at. You don't have to learn everything at once! Well we would teach you the techniques that CEF uses for the particular part that you will be teaching. As you volunteer more your training and knowledge of the programs will build.
If you are helping teach a Good News Club we do ask that you take our Quick Start Training, which is a 1 day 8 hour training that goes over the basic materials of a Good News Club. Take note, the techniques that you learn with CEF are very versatile. You can use them to teach Sunday school at your church, talk your kids or grandkids through a Bible story, or capture kids attention with music, verse, and Bible lessons.
