CEF Summer in the Cities

This summer the weather has been great, but it has been a hot one for furthering Jesus’ gospel message! The Hawkeye Chapter has been sharing the gospel and the love of Jesus at different community trailer events and CYIA activities. So far this summer there have been more than 18 events where we  estimate that God’s message has been shared with over 2300 children and their families! There are four more events on the schedule in August.

God has been Faithful! This summer interacting with new connections has been a blessing to our Kids Blast teams and CYIA summer youth workers. Hopefully, these new connections will lead to more GNCs and 5 Day Clubs as well as more volunteers. 

As summer ends, we are turning our thoughts to the fall Good News Clubs. Last spring we closed with 8 clubs. This fall we will offer at least nine new clubs. We have the schools identified, but finding churches and volunteers to staff the clubs is a challenge.

The Hawkeye Chapter is also in urgent need of your prayers as we continue to look to the Lord for providing the necessary volunteers needed to staff each GNC, provide more board members and supply the finances to keep His work moving forward and growing. God has a message to a fallen world and it is His work, but we are His hands and feet! Please consider joining the team whether in prayer, volunteering or with a financial gift.
