Two Hand Ball Tag

GOAL:

• Don’t get tagged by the ball
• Like classic Tag, but you tag each other using a ball thrown with two hands

INSTRUCTIONS:

• Set up:
  • Choose a child to be “it” and give him a ball
  • The “it” child must tag kids by throwing a ball and must use both hands to throw
  • Other kids try to avoid being hit by the ball (headshots don’t count)

• Play:
  • Children spread out around play area
  • “It” child attempts to tag kids by throwing the ball at them
  • If child gets hit, they must sit down!
• Win:
  • Child who lasts to the end wins!

VARIATIONS:

• SPONGE TAG—instead of balls, you use wet sponges

WHAT YOU NEED:

• A foam or rubber ball
