Three Step Ball Tag

GOAL:

• Don’t get hit by the ball!
• Tag each other using a ball with movement limitations

INSTRUCTIONS:

• Set up:
  • Choose designated play area
  • Have children spread out in area
  • Throw 3 foam balls into the play area
  • Children who pick up a ball can only take three steps before they throw it

• Play:
  • ​Children pick up balls and throw them at other kids, if a child gets hit they sit down
  • If a child that is sitting down gets a ball, they may use it to hit another child, if they do, they can stand up and keep playing!
  • If a child (even one sitting) catches a thrown ball, the child who threw it is out.
  • Note: Headshots don’t count
• Win:
  • Last child remaining wins!

VARIATIONS:

WHAT YOU NEED:

• 3 foam balls (ideally enough for a 1-to-4 ratio of balls to children)
