Sponge Relay

GOAL:
A relay game with sponges that get kids wet

INSTRUCTIONS:

• Set up:
  • Divide the group into teams (10 max per team)
  • Give each team a sponge
  • Designate an area to run to and back

• Play:
  • Dip sponge in water, hold over head while running to the designated area and back again
  • Give sponge to the next person in line who must re-dip the sponge before running to the designated area and back
  • Continue until all students have gone
• Win:
  • Whichever team finishes first

VARIATIONS:

• Place a bucket for each team to squeeze their sponge into, whichever team’s bucket is fullest at the end wins!

WHAT YOU NEED:

• Two sponges (or one for each team)
• Bucket
• Water
