Poison Dart Frog

GOAL:

• Don’t get poisoned by the Frog!

INSTRUCTIONS:

• Set up:
  • Sit children in a circle
  • Choose a “Detective” his job is to find the “Dart Frog”
  • Detective closes eyes and ears, walks a few steps away from the group.
  • Designate “Dart Frog” His job is to look at people in the circle and stick his tongue out at them (Don’t say the Dart Frog’s name!)
  • If children in the circle see the Dart Frog stick his tongue out at them, they must lean over and pretend to be poisoned
  • Detective has 3 guesses to guess who the Dart frog is!

• Play:
  • Detective stands in the middle of circle looking for Dart Frog
  • The Dart Frog begins to stick his tongue out at people without Detective knowing. If the Detective discovers him the game is over and a new round begins!
  • Note: Children cannot pretend to be Dart Frog when they are not

VARIATIONS:

• Have all kids sit in a circle and close their eyes. Tap the Dart Frog on the head once and tap the Detective on the head twice. Those 2 players then assume their roles. Then the game begins.
