Four Corners

GOAL:

• Be the last child remaining

INSTRUCTIONS:

• Set up
  • Prepare a speaker to play music
  • Have four leaders become the “four corners” (holding up 1-4 fingers)
  • Note: If only four leaders, game leader leads from Corner #1. If only three leaders, choose a tree or table to become a corner.
  • Choose a starting child to close eyes and be in the middle (be it)​

• Play
  • Play music and give the kids about 10-15 seconds to pick one of the 4 corners
  • Stop music and children must choose a corner when it stops
  • Have the child in the middle choose a corner (quickly!), that corner is out
  • When there are fewer children (less than 4) switch to picking the winning corner
  • Note: When picking the “winning” corner, all children must pick a separate corner
  • Note: If final round is less than four kids, tell the chooser which corners are occupied
• Win
  • The winning child is the next person in the middle

VARIATIONS:

• Use “Six” corners
• Instead of music, have the child in the middle count down from 10
