Frisbee Tic Tac Toe

Goal:
  • Play Tic-Tac-Toe with Frisbees

Explanation and Set Up:
  • Mark out a 3 x 3 tic-tac-toe board on the ground.  Each square should be at least 1 foot across
  • Take turns throwing frisbees to get three in a row
  • Variations: Play one-on-one or as teams

Equipment:
  • Tape or ropes to mark gameboard
  • Two sets of different colored frisbees, 5 of each color

Relay Lock Race

Explanation and Setup:
  • ​Divide the group into two teams and have each person select a partner.
  • Partners stand back-to-back and lock arms by the elbows while holding their own stomach with their hands.
  • The coach gives the instruction to get from one location to another.

Jacob's Ladder

Explanation and Setup:
  • Divide the group into two equal lines, facing each other.
  • Have each participant lock arms with the person directly across from them by grabbing their elbows and forming a ladder.
  • Toss a beach ball or balloon onto the ladder and have the group work as a team to get it all the way up the ladder in one direction and back again.​

  • Start everyone off in a circle, facing inward, hands behind back.
  • Put between zero and three balloons in each person's hands behind their backs.
  • Participants should not let on to others how many balloons their have.
  • The leader starts by trying to keep three balloons afloat in the center.

  • Discussing spiritual gifts
  • Viewing handicaps in a new light
  • Discussing strengths and weaknesses

Explanation and Setup:
  • Minimum of 3 participants per team
  • Each person will be assigned an ability (sight, speech or locomotion) and made disabled in the other two abilities. For example, if you were assigned sight you would then have your feet bound together and your mouth taped shut to represent being paralyzed from the waist down and being unable to create any sound with the vocal cords

Parachute Games

​Younger Kids Games
  • Touch the Sky: everyone raises the parachute up as high as they can
  • Touch the Floor: bring it down to the ground
  • Waves: all children shake parachute up and down, creating waves
  • Foot Inside: everyone puts one foot under the canopy
  • Walk: the group walks in a circle
  • Underneath: all children run under the parachute when up
  • Umbrella: all children lift at the same time, float slowly
  • Dome: all children lift, then pull their handles all the way to the ground and sit down (sitting outside)
  • Class Picture: all children lift, pull handles down to ground, putting only their heads in the parachute

  • A twist on Tag

INSTRUCTIONS:
  • Set up:
    • Designate play area (establish safety rules)
    • Have children spread out
    • INSTRUCT: If a child gets tagged by another, he must sit down and wait until the one who tagged him gets tagged. When that happens, they can stand and play again!
    • INSTRUCT: If children tag each other at the same time, they play Rock Paper Scissors to decide who sits down
