Cat & Mouse

GOAL:

• Don’t get caught by the cat!

INSTRUCTIONS:

• Set up:
  • Choose a child to be the mouse & cat.
  • All other children stand on outside of parachute holding handles

• Play:
  • Mouse crawls around underneath the parachute and tries to hide from the cat.
  • Cat goes to center and closes eyes
  • Have children shake parachute and count to 10
  • Cat opens eyes and tries to find mouse while the parachute is still being shaken
  • Two finger touch to tag - no pouncing
• Win:
  • The cat should be able to find the mouse within a reasonable time.
  • You might “time” each round, giving 30 seconds or 60 seconds to find the mouse

VARIATIONS:

• Choose 2 or 3 mice!
• Have cat close their eyes while they search for the mouse!
