Balloon Help

Goals:

Explanation and Setup:

• Start everyone off in a circle, facing inward, hands behind back.
• Put between zero and three balloons in each person's hands behind their backs.
• Participants should not let on to others how many balloons their have.
• The leader starts by trying to keep three balloons afloat in the center.

• When it becomes difficult, the leader calls somebody's name and says, "X, I need your help!"
• That person comes in with all their balloons and helps until it becomes difficult, then they call, "Y, I need your help!"
  
• If a balloon falls to the ground, it must be picked up by someone in the center and kept afloat.
  
• If too many balloons hit the ground, stop play, have everyone return to the circle and begin again.
  
• After a few rounds, allow discussion time to brainstorm alternative actions.
  

Objective:

• Everyone in the center keeping all balloons afloat for at least 30 seconds

Equipment:

• Balloons - 1 to 3 per person participating
